Appeal of Variance Decisions

BILD Alberta has successfully advocated to introduce a process that will allow builders to appeal a Safety Codes Officer denial of a variance (comes into effect on December 1, 2021). This will help further encourage innovation in the housing sector and we look forward to working with the Government of Alberta on finalizing the formal process associated with these appeals.
