Certain home and community features resonate with all homebuyers, however, there are also many generational differences that need to be understood. The growing cohort of Millennials in the new home market has distinct differences from the large, but the shrinking cohort of Gen Xers buying new homes recently. Differences in desires and motivations are even evident within a generational cohort, as younger baby boomers have different wants and needs than their older cohort peers. This session explores these generational similarities and differences, as it relates to home and community features and design.
