The Alberta Utilities Commission is currently consulting to standardize the terms and conditions of service required by Alberta’s electric distribution utilities to ensure customers receive consistent treatment. This is a stated objective in the Commission’s 2021-2024 Strategic Plan, which was released on April 26, 2021, and an action item outlined in the Commission’s response to the Distribution System Inquiry Report on February 19, 2021.

Staff are in the initial stages of identifying current challenges members are facing with shallow utilities and preparing to engage with the Alberta Utilities Commission as a stakeholder. If members would like to get involved or learn more information, contact Saheb Dullet.
