Targeted Measures to Reduce the Spread
As of November 13, the Government of Alberta announced targeted health measures to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Everyone plays an important role helping reduce the transmission of the virus. It is imperative our industry continues to adhere to safety guidelines established this spring to protect the vulnerable and break the chain of spread.
Indoor Mask Use in Workplaces
Wear a mask in all indoor work settings, except when alone in a workspace or an appropriate barrier is in place. This includes:
- while attending in-person meetings
- any time you leave your desk or barrier/partition:
- when in the washroom
- getting a coffee
- heating up your lunch
- moving in a hallway
Office Settings to Reduce Employees in Workplace at the Same Time
Employers are strongly encouraged to implement options such as rotating schedules or enabling staff to work remotely to reduce the number of employees in a workplace at a time.
